Juneau Report 1:1 Trevor Storrs/Alaska Children's Trust/Family Strong



STATISTICS SHOW THAT NEARLY HALF OF CHILDREN WHO ARE ABUSED IN ALASKA ARE UNDER FOUR YEARS OLD. 30% ARE BETWEEN FIVE AND NINE. 

PARENTS WHO ARE STRUGGLING TO FIND THE RESOURCES THEIR FAMILY NEEDS ARE THOSE MOST LIKELY TO STEP OVER THE LINE. 

WE SAT DOWN IN AN EXCLUSIVE ONE-ON-ONE WITH THE ALASKA CHILDREN'S TRUST TO LEARN MORE ABOUT NEW INITIATIVES TO PROMOTE HEALTHY COMMUNITIES ONE FAMILY AT A TIME. 


WHILE SOME BALK AT THE STATE PRESENTING CONTRACEPTIVE OPTIONS TO YOUNG ADULTS - THE FACT REMAINS THE DISCOURAGING UNWANTED PREGNANCIES BEFORE THEY HAPPEN IS THE MOST EFFECTIVE OPTION.
